Winners of Olivier Awards announced tonight: David Tennant nominated for Best Actor Award


The winners of the Olivier Awards are announced tonight at a 
ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The ceremony starts at 6pm and highlights from the ceremony will be shown on ITV at 10.10pm (until 12.10am). It will be broadcast live on Magic Radio and arrivals start at 4.30pm.

David Tennant was nominated for the Best Actor Award for Macbeth at the Donmar Warehouse. 

The other nominees for this award are Joseph Fiennes for Dear England at the National Theatre, Mark Gatiss for The Motive And The Cue at the National Theatre, James Norton for A Little Life at the Harold Pinter Theatre and Andrew Scott for Vanya at the Duke of York’s Theatre

Macbeth has also been nominated for the Best Revival Award and the Best Sound Design

Macbeth ran for 10 weeks (61 performances) from Friday 8th December 2023 until Saturday 10th February 2024.

The play was recorded although details about when/how it will be shown have not been announced yet.

However it has been announced that Macbeth will have a second run in London later this year.
