Macbeth (starring David Tennant) to play at Harold Pinter Theatre from Tuesday 1st October until Saturday 14th December 2024

As previously announced, the Donmar Warehouse production of Macbeth will transfer to the West End later this year.

The play will move to the Harold Pinter Theatre where it will be performed from Tuesday 1st October until Saturday 14th December 2024.

The Harold Pinter Theatre is where David recently performed in the play Good and is much larger then the Donmar Warehouse. It is located in Panton Street, London SW1Y 4DN.

David Tennant will resume his role of Macbeth and Cush Jumbo will again play Lady Macbeth.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Thursday (25th April). At each performance one third of tickets will be priced at £35 or under, with the front row available to purchase for £25 on the day of the show.

Like at the Donmar Warehouse, audiences will wear headphones for the duration of the play which, through binaural technology, will create a 3D sound world.

The cast will be the full original Donmar Warehouse cast - David Tennant (Macbeth), Cush Jumbo (Lady Macbeth), Moyo Akandé (Ross), Annie Grace (musician and gentlewoman), Brian James O’Sullivan (Donalbain/soldier/murderer and musician), Casper Knopf (Macduff’s Son/Fleance/Young Siward), Cal MacAninch (Banquo), Kathleen MacInnes (the singer and ensemble), Alasdair Macrae (musician and ensemble), Rona Morison (Lady Macduff), Noof Ousellam (Macduff), Raffi Phillips (Macduff’s Son/Fleance/Young Siward), Jatinder Singh Randhawa (The Porter/Seytan), Ros Watt (Malcolm), and Benny Young (Duncan/Doctor).

The performance on Thursday 11th January 2024 was recorded although details about how or when it will be released have not been announced yet.

David Tennant won the Best Shakespearean Performance Award at the Critics Circle Awards for Macbeth.
