David Tennant is not involved as it will be hosted by one of The RSC’s assistant directors (most likely Owen Horsley) for an intensive weekend workshop looking inside The RSC rehearsal process.
Having worked alongside Gregory Doran on the production of Shakespeare’s Richard II, Owen will be looking at the approaches, techniques and exercises used by modern professional directors in their approach to Shakespeare.
It is for ages 18+ and is suitable for students in higher education and training, emerging artists and professionals.
It cost £75 but is already sold out.
The weekend starts at 10.30am each day and includes the workshops on both Saturday and Sunday plus the evening performance of Richard II.
