The final (also known as consolidated) figures for the first two episodes of the David Tennant narrated Earthflight have been announced.
They were 5.8 million for the first episode about North America and 5.1 million for the second episode about Africa.
The overnight figures were 5.12 million and 4.63 million respectively but the consolidated figures include those people who recorded it and watched it within a week of the broadcast.
Also as impressive were the Appreciation Index figures as they were 90 and 89 which will really have impressed the BBC.
